From vintage markets, to hidden away workrooms, art dealers and craftsmen; Rachel’s network and her list of contacts in her black book is enviable.
Rachel’s interest in art and post-war functional art defines the look of her interior design projects. Having completed projects throughout Europe, the UK and across the US, Rachel Laxer and her team bring a global sense of design to your project.
“I began my career in New York as a commodities trader and expanded to being a successful emerging markets trader at the firms of investment legends George Soros and Michael Steinhardt. But it was while living in Tokyo that I studied architecture and the Japanese aesthetic of simplicity and beauty, which completely inspired and fuelled my passion for creating crafted interiors.
It was at this time that I had the honour to study privately with a renowned art historian and architect, where I became absolutely enamoured with art, and this is when I really started to develop my focus on collecting art pieces for my clients.”
After moving back to London, Rachel was quickly hired by Kelly Hoppen due to Rachel’s understanding of the “East” meets West approach, her exceptional eye and valued vintage sourcing abilities.
Rachel Laxer Interiors was established in 2005 and is based in London and New York.

House & Garden, The List
Beth’s deep love of fabric and texture developed while working as a textile designer, initially for fashion and later for interiors. From there she went on to study Interior Design at KLC School of Design with her first interior design role for a long standing House & Garden Top 100 Interior Designer. Now the Senior Design Director at Rachel Laxer Interiors, Beth brings her eclectic design style to the table, adding in clean lines and a relaxed sense of fun.
Beth believes that beautiful interiors should be attainable and accessible to everyone; that they should infiltrate all our usable spaces and provide everyday enjoyment. She injects her projects with a blend of the user-friendly everyday, alongside elements that suggest the extraordinary and small touches that are a little bit more magical.
